This Day in Milwaukee History

Nov. 22, 1976
Assistant coach Don Nelson becomes head coach of the Bucks, succeeding Larry Costello. The change corresponds to the sale of the team from Wes Pavalon to Jim Fitzgerald, who had been a member of the team's board of directors.

Opening 12 years ago and expanding into a second storefront three years later, Venturi's Market is tucked away on the 7200 block of W. North Avenue, sandwiched by Snap Fitness and Chinese Pagoda restaurant. The caf� and deli originally opened with Italian flavors in mind but over the years, they've expanded to carry fresh meats and cheeses, specialty canned and packaged goods along with made-from scratch deli items of all sorts.
