You know you've made it into pop culture when an animated version of yourself shows up on Fox's "The Family Guy." Milwaukee filmmakers Mark Borchardt and Mike Shank made a brief cameo on Sunday night's show, popping out of a closet, where they were hoping to secretly film a lesbian love scene.
The stars of "American Movie" had just two lines, but they were captured to a tee.
"I don't know, man, we didn't get the shots we need," said the animated Borchardt. "Man, what do you think, Mike? I mean if you saw action goin' on in front of you, would know instinctively to center it in front of you?"
"I don't know," replied Shank. "Someone take my soda out of the icebox please so it doesn't freeze."

nick said: milwaukee will be the next "it" city, alright, but not because of its indie music scene--- milwaukee's going to be known for strong showing of independent filmmakers... mark my words.
