"Glengarry Glen Ross," playwright David Mamet's gripping portrayal of two days in the lives of four desperate and ethically challenged Chicago real estate agents, won a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony when it appeared on Broadway in 1984.

But, it was the movie version of the play, which starred Jack Lemmon, Al Pacino, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, Kevin Spacey and Alec Baldwin that brought the work wide exposure.

The Milwaukee Rep's version of the performance runs from Jan. 30 to March 2 at the Quadracci Powerhouse Theater.

Kate Buckley, who directed a production of "Frozen" returns to The Rep as director of "Glengarry," which will star American Player's Theater veteran James DeVita as Ricky Roma and Peter Silbert as Shelly "The Machine" Levine, whose mantra is "Get them to sign on the line that is dotted!"

Tickets range from $12 to $44 and are available through The Rep's Web site, at the box office located at 108 E. Wells and by calling (414) 224-9490.

Actually, the mantra/quote of "Get them to sign on the line which is dotted" belongs to Alec Baldwin's character, Blake, not Shelly Levine played by Jack Lemmon.
