VISIT Milwaukee has released the fifth installment in its tourism video series, with a film featuring beer and brewing.

I often say that beer and brats are an amazing side dish in Milwaukee today, and our city should always toast to beer's importance. Some like to shy away from the beer culture, but we should embrace it and drink it in.  Responsibly, of course.

The new video offers a snapshot of Milwaukee’s beer and brewing culture, from its brewing roots with Miller, Pabst, Blatz and Schlitz to the evolving culture today, led by Sprecher Brewing Co., Lakefront Brewing, Inc., Milwaukee Brewing Co., Brenner Brewing Co. and countless others.

"At VISIT Milwaukee we strive to represent all of the important cultural aspects that help to brand the city, including our rich beer history," said Megan Gaus, director of marketing and communications at VISIT Milwaukee. "We made this video to inspire beer tourism to our region and to highlight the foundation that gave Milwaukee the name of ‘brew city,’ which is still very much alive today."

This video goes beyond the bars and shows the many beer-related activities one can find in Milwaukee, such as touring the historic Pabst Mansion, walking through Forest Home Cemetery to see the final resting place of legendary beer barons, beer gardens and more.

The leisure video series is used to help elevate Milwaukee’s image and brand the city.
