"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun bars and club articles -- including guides, unique features, drink recipes and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

The votes are in and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best: Bars & Clubs, 2009. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all month long in the Bars and Clubs section of OnMilwaukee.com.

OnMilwaukee.com started judging bar bathrooms in 2001, and it remains a unique but important category in the annual contest. Once again, the Safe House snagged the honor of having the coolest loo in the city.

The Safe House’s ladies’ room is certainly the most interactive, featuring a photo of Burt Reynolds with a movable metal heart hinged over his John Henry.  (But beware: move the heart and the entire bar will know you took a sneak peek.)

As for the men's room, don't be fooled by the two doors. Behind one, there's a brick wall and a sign that says, "Whoa!" The other door leads to the actual rest room, where there are two stalls labeled "FBI" and "CIA."

The Safe House is a spy-themed / James Bond bar and restaurant. Patrons need to know a password to enter through a fake bookshelf.
