"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun bars and club articles -- including guides, unique features, drink recipes and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!
The votes are in and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best: Bars & Clubs, 2009. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all month long in the Bars and Clubs section of OnMilwaukee.com.
A "cougar bar" refers to clubs or taverns that attract older ladies on the prowl for younger men. This is a new contest category, but one that inspired more than one-third of the voters to pick Victor's.
Victor's is an all-ages dance club and restaurant that has been around for three decades. Owner Vic Jones says his large dance floor is part of the reason why so many "cougars" come to his establishment.
"Places that have a dance floor -- like Victor's -- make it easier for women to meet men because they just have to ask them to dance," says Jones.

Victor's- my New Years staple, and this year one of my poor deer males friends was a victim of the cougars prowl. HA, loves it.

Love the funny comments! They serve as a gentle reminder we should live and let live w/o judgment. Decades ago, I recall hearing the term "crotcheteria" in reference to Victor's. (For the obtuse, it's not an STD, think "cafeteria").

No mention of Kiko's. Anyone who has been to Kiko's knows that this place destroys even Victor's in terms Cougar availability. In fact, Kiko's can even one up, and claim that they get the most Mother's to the Cougars too. Top that. http://www.monreals.com/kikosbandschedule/kikosbandschedule.html
