"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com is back for another round!
The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun bars
and club articles -- including guides, unique features, drink recipes
and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!
The votes are in and the winners have been selected for
OnMilwaukee's Best: Bars & Clubs, 2009. The results of this

With its eclectic crowd and funky motif, The Planet is a people watchers' wonderland. Punks, goths, hipsters, bachelorette parties and everyone in between mix it up on a regular basis inside The Planet -- or outdoors on the tree-canopied patio.
Every Friday night is '80s Night at The Mad Planet, and the club serves as a popular venue for local and national bands, too.

Are you kidding??? boy what a sad state of affairs our club scene is in to pick this place! Nothing against the people who own it or go there. Its ok, but the best in town??? Last time I was there I almost fell asleep it was so boring. You can only look at so many tats and skinny guys wearing womens pants. This reminds me people on here being asked whats the best restaurant in town and survey says, applebee's! lol. when it should be Lake Park or some other fine dining establishment. OMC got it right with MOCT

Hooray to the Mad Planet. I think the "best of" selection for this place is right on the money. If you want to just dance, people watch, come as you are, and have fun, this is the place. There's none of that mentality or worry of having to come dressed in the latest and most expensive fashions, as so many of these hip and trendy places would expect of you. Now if only the Planet would retire the 80s retro night or move it to a weekday night. It would be so refreshing to have something like a 70s funk night for a change.
