Usually, the battle for the "best non Irish pub" is a hot race, with favorites winning by the skin of their teeth. But this year, one Milwaukee favorite pulled out fairly far ahead of the rest.

It could be the rooftop patio, which makes this spot a favorite hangout during the clement months. It could also be the extensive beer list, which is actually called the "Bier book" since its depth and breadth includes over 20 categories of brews from which to choose.

Nonetheless, your favorite pick for this category was the Historic Third Ward's Cafe Benelux, located at 346 N. Broadway.

Our editorial staff, on the other hand, opted for your third place pick, Nomad World Pub, where the tap list is great and "football" rules.

OnMilwaukee.com editors' pick: Nomad World Pub
