Hidden away on one of the nation's most industrialized rivers sits a gem of a bar that has for years given Milwaukeeans a little taste of the Florida Keys.
Most of Milwaukee's bar attention goes toward the popular Downtown and North Avenue entertainment districts but Barnacle Bud's is something special.
It's patio is the perfect venue for an evening of drinks on a warm summer night. With live music, an oyster bar and a killer Bloody Mary, it's no wonder why Barnacle Bud's was your choice for Milwaukee's best patio -- narrowly beating out another solid choice, the Horny Hideaway.

That's a fair point, but I'm more confused how a place that's closed - Riptide - can receive votes... Shouldn't a poll for 2011 be limited to bars that are actually open?

Really onmilwaukee readers? Barnacle Bud's? The food is terrible, and the view of the dirty & smelly Milwaukee River in an Industrial area with abandoned buildings is even worse!
