The Ale House helped spark the Third Ward nightlife scene. |

Milwaukee Ale House has knocked out its competition as Milwaukee's favorite brew pub among OnMilwaukee.com readers. And it's easy to see why.
With a range of tasty beers, two great outdoor, riverside seating options and a spacious, airy interior, the Ale House is popular with music fans, the after work crowd and beer connoisseurs alike.
The locally-owned and operated Ale House was also among the earliest nightlife destinations to arrive as the Third Ward bar and restaurant scene started taking off in the 1990s.
OnMilwaukee.com editors' choice: Water Street Brewery
Runners-up:
2) Lakefront Brewery Palm Garden
3) Rock Bottom Brewery
4) Water Street Brewery
5) Delafield Brewhaus
6) Stonefly Brewing Co.
7) Port Washington Brewing Company

The Ale House is great....but don't forget to try the Lakefront Brewery's Friday night fishfry.....with the polka band it's almost too much fun....
