The Irish Pub, which opened in 2006 as an Irish-themed pub and restaurant, closed yesterday for revisioning and remodeling. It is projected to reopen within three months.

Last month, Adam and Melissa Weber purchased the building and the business. The couple lived in Chicago – where they own two restaurants – but recently moved to Milwaukee.

"I grew up here," says Melissa, who attended Homestead High School in Mequon and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. "It’s great to be home."

Melissa says they are not planning to change the name nor the Irish theme at this point, but will put a new "spin" on it with an emphasis on craft cocktails.

"We are planning to elevate the quality, but keep a similar concept," says Melissa.

OnMilwaukee will soon have more information about The Irish Pub, so stay tuned.
