There will soon be another place to grab a drink on Old World 3rd Street.
The windows of what used to be Visions Sports Bar , 1013 N. Old World 3rd Street, feature printed signs advertising the forthcoming Milwaukee Brat House.
Owners Jack Schaefer and Mike Kellogg hope to open the bar, sandwiched between the Old German Beer Hall and Trophy Athletic Supply, in February or March 2008.
The bar will have an "old world" theme; complete with pub-style tables and booths as well as an outdoor beer garden, similar to those found in Milwaukee during the early 20th Century.
The site has been vacant since Visions closed following a double-homicide that stemmed from a fight inside the bar in July 2006. The property has had many incarnations over the years. Along with a stint as Visions, it was also home to Melissa's Party Bar and Shangrila Lounge.
Check back with OnMilwaukee.com in the coming days for more details.
