Nine Below, Milwaukee’s first "maker's golf tavern," will open to the public on Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the area below Beans & Barley, 1905 E. North Ave.

"We're taking the concept of mini-golf and the concept of maker's space and mashing them together to create something that is unique and exciting every time you come," co-owner David Poytinger told OnMilwaukee earlier this year.

Poytinger owns the business with his wife, Marla. The couple also owns Splash Studio, 184 N. Broadway.

The 7,000-square foot, lower-level space – which formerly housed numerous nightclubs including Esoteria, Mantra Lounge, Decibel and most recently The Library Club – underwent a major remodel and now features two nine-hole indoor miniature golf courses and a bar that looks and feels like being outdoors at dusk.

A ribbon cutting ceremony soft opening will occur the week before. A grand opening celebration is set for Saturday, Oct. 1. Reservations are encouraged and can be made on the Nine Below website.
