The first day of spring has come and gone, and that means it's officially garden season. No, not like flower gardens – beer gardens, with one of the Milwaukee Parks ones getting ready and raring to open soon as we speak.

In a Facebook post, the South Shore Terrace beer garden in Bay View announced that it will open for the 2018 season on Wednesday, April 11.

And that's not all. According to the post, some slight changes are headed to the Bay View beer garden, started in 2015 by Milwaukee County Parks in partnership with MillerCoors. New menu items are headed your way, as well as some new beers on tap.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for updates about the South Shore Terrace beer garden's opening day celebrations and menu changes, as well as the rest of the beer gardens preparing to tap open another new season in the next few months.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
