According to a source, Tequila Rita's "pulled the plug on Monday."
The bar, 1131 N. Water St., opened in June of 2007 and featured two floors of lounge space, dartboards and pool tables. Prior to housing Tequila Rita's, Terrace Bar occupied the space.

It also appears that Waters End has also closed. They have been dark for two weeks now. They didn't last long.

someone will find a way to make that building work. you'd think its midblock location would be prime for bootstrapping off neighboring bar business. obviously it's not that simple though. btw, whatever happened to the bowling bar that was to be built under BW3?

The building is odd. I don't know why they ever constructed it.

Sympathies to those who've lost their jobs, but I've always HATED the sign! It's a tacky defacement of a really cool building.
