How many times did you utter those words in high school? "You have to be 21 to do everything."

Even in cities of decent size like Milwaukee, it is often difficult to find things to do if you are under that magic age. There's always movies and bowling, but both get old fast, and sometimes a person wants to stay out later than 10 p.m. Since our generosity knows no bounds, we're glad to offer up ideas on fun things to do for those not old enough to legally get into a bar. Fear not, our young friends. There are plenty of places to get down and boogie.

Everyone knows The Rave (2401 W. Wisconsin Ave.) is a great place to see a concert, but did you know they have a pretty funky dance club, too? It is called The Bassment, and the world’s best DJs spin their stuff every Friday and Saturday night. The music is predominantly techno and funk, and shows can go on for as long as four hours. Call 344-BASS or visit www.therave.com for showtimes and information.

Mad Planet, located at 533 E. Center St., attracts large crowds on Saturday nights aided by a DJ who plays industrial and techno that you can dance to. No alcohol is served, and all ages are welcome. Mad Planet is a favorite for those who like their music and clothes a little on the dark side. Call 263-4555 for more information.
