The former Village Pub in Shorewood is about to be transformed.

Lis Duggan and Rebecca Goldberger – former owner of Roots Restaurant and current manager of The Irish Pub – purchased the building at 4488 N. Oakland Ave.

They plan to open a new concept in spring 2016.

"It will be a completely new concept. I will say we won't be re-opening’ The Village Pub, but we hope it will be a positive place for everyone in the neighborhood and beyond," says Goldberger. "We are just so excited to add something positive and unique to the community. This is our new passion project."
