Yesterday, OnMilwaukee got a super early sneak peek of View, the new rooftop patio and venue coming next month to Old World Third Street.

View, which is owned by the Wild Planet Hospitality Group, is located on the top floor of the building, 1023 N. Old World 3rd St., that also houses Evolution and The Brass Alley.

Wild Planet also operates the Red Rock Saloon, McGillycuddy's, Red Lion Pub, Trocadero, Three Lions Pub, Evolution and The Brass Alley. The group’s marketing directer, Wesley Shaver, gave us all the deets about the new space during our Facebook Live interview. (In fact, during the chat he disclosed View’s name for the first time publicly.)

View will open to the public on Friday, Aug. 19. The contemporary, light-filled space will be open to the public and feature a full bar, small plates (eventually) and live / DJ music. It will also be available for weddings and special events.

Not surprisingly, View has a great view that includes the iconic Usinger's sign along with the Milwaukee skyline and a stretch of the river. Here are a few renderings of what the space will look like when it's finished, but to see View as a work-in-progress, check out the Facebook Live.

Cheers to another rooftop patio in Milwaukee!
