Windell Middlebrooks grew up in Texas, attended college in Kansas and resides in California, but he has developed a deep affection for Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
The actor, best known for portraying the Miller High Life Delivery Man in popular commercials for the local brewer, visited Milwaukee again last month for a series of promotional appearances and felt compelled to share the following letter with OnMilwaukee.com readers.
"I recently spent one of the best weekends of my whole life in the Milwaukee area, checking out the hot spots, tailgating at Miller Park, meeting new friends at area bars and watching the Brewers beat the Reds!
"I just wanted to drop y'all a quick note to say thank you for welcoming me with open arms. I've had the pleasure of traveling all over the country these past few years, and visiting the birthplace of the 'Champagne of Beers' is always a special thrill for me.
"It feels like I'm coming home when I visit Milwaukee! It's clear that you're proud of your great city, and I certainly understand why. Milwaukee is a common-sense town, filled with great people who know how to have fun. It also came across loud and clear how much Miller High Life means to y'all, and it's humbling for me to be a little piece of the High Life history.
"Thanks again for a fun and memorable weekend. I hope to be back again this summer."
Cheers, Milwaukee!!!

Cool. I think he's pretty genuine in his affection. They showed him on the big screen at MP and the place went nuts. He then realized everyone was cheering for him and he looked surprised and embarassed.
