The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) just reported that all buses will stop running at 5:30 p.m. They will start running again tomorrow morning at 5 a.m., if weather permits.
"It's an extreme measure for us to suspend bus service, but one we thought was necessary to ensure public safety," says Jackie Janz, marketing director for MCTS.

Thanks a lot MCTS. My boyfriend was stuck at work for 3 hours because the buses stopped running. He finally walked the 1.5 miles home in the blizzard, and now he's sick. I'm sure other people had it much worse than he did. If he worked across town, he probably would have spend to night at his office. Blizzard or no, some people depend 100% on the bus system.
