Chipotle Mexican Grill, home of the football-sized burrito, is holding its first ever television commercial contest with college students acting as the creative teams, according to a press release fromthe restaurant chain. Marquette University joins 21 other schools involved in the competition.
The task at hand is to create a 30-second spot that encompasses the different facets of Chipotle -- which can include anything from personal experience to the big burritos being sold.
The cash prize for first place is $20,000, split between the university and the winning team; second place splits $10,000.
Teams get to submit up to three spots. Submissions are due Oct. 20 with the winners announced Nov. 3. The winning spots will also be featured on the Chipotle Web site.
Stay tuned to OMC for more news on Marquette's submissions.
