Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett honors the proprietors and designers who collaborated to make 20 city sites more bold and interesting when he presents the 2006 Urban Design Awards during a ceremony today at 5:15 p.m. at UWM's School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
"Each year we applaud the investment and innovation of property owners
and individuals for taking the opportunity to do something unique and
engaging with their design," said Mayor Barrett in a statement. "It is
their attention to detail that makes Milwaukee an exciting place to
attract businesses, visitors and residents."
