I'm always looking for ways to keep myself busy in the winter – and Milwaukee has no shortage of events or shows for you to do the same. I shared a few of my favorites a few weeks back – which you can read here – and today I have a few others you should add to your calendar.

Plus, you can enter to win tickets to all of these. You can thank me later!

1. Milwaukee Wine Opener
The 10th annual Milwaukee Wine Opener -- brought to you by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation -- will be held Feb. 7 at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Get there and taste what everyone is talking about! The night features limitless small bites from Milwaukee's favorite restaurants, and tastings from any of the 70 selections provided by Johnson Brothers purveyors – i.e., wine, wine and wine! The evening is exciting and fun, and also features a unique silent auction, raffles, and live music by Ryan McIntyre. Plus, it benefits a great cause. Want to go? Head here to win tickets or here to purchase them now.

2. WMSE Rockabilly Chili
The 12 annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser will be held Sunday March 2 at MSOE University’s Kern Center. Rockabilly is a chili competition that pits over 50 Milwaukee restaurants, cafes and caterers against one another to determine the city’s best chili as voted on by you. The 2015 event features an expanded venue that includes the first floor gymnasium and the second floor field house – plus the chili pepper races. Want to go? Go here to win tickets or click here to purchase them now.

3. Dancing Pros: Live
For the first time ever you can see the pros from "Dancing with the Stars," "So You Think You Can Dance" and other international dance pros compete with one another for your vote in Dancing Pros: Live! Using electronic voting remotes attached to every seat, the audience will become part of the show and vote for their favorite couple. Alan Thicke of "Growing Pains" will be your host for the night -- which is this Saturday, Jan. 17. Want to go? Visit here to win tickets or here to purchase them.

Good luck!

Carolynn Buser Chief Content Officer

Carolynn Buser is one of Milwaukee's loudest and most adamant cheerleaders (don't dare try to disagree). She's the primary voice behind much of OnMilwaukee's social media and content direction, and apologizes in advance if she can be too sarcastic at times.

What else? She's a wine lover, closet trashy novel reader, beauty supplies addict and devourer of cheese (shocker for a Wisconsin born and bred girl, right?). She's also a bit of a foodie, which is a word most of you hate, we know. She works as hard as she plays - and that includes in the gym! So, you've probably seen her at one of the area's newest restaurant openings (and yes, she will share her opinions good or bad) or enjoying a cold one at a local pub.

All in all, Carolynn's a believer in positive thinking and will do her best to smack down your negative ones while writing about her city, her loves, quests and more.
