Monday events canceled out of respect for Sikh community

At least two Milwaukee area events have been postponed out of respect for those who tragically lost their lives and those injured in Oak Creek yesterday.

The grand opening of Growing Power's North Side Milwaukee Deli & Food Market, originally scheduled for Monday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m.. to noon, has been postponed.

In addition, the public unveiling of the portrait created by renowned artist David Lenz, originally scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Milwaukee Public Schools' Congress Extended Year-Round School, has been postponed.
