Former Citizen King and current New Sense drummer DJ Brooks and his wife Cassie are working to ready Good Life, their new Caribbean bar and restaurant, at the corner of Humboldt and North Water Street. Brooks says the couple is aiming to open in mid-August.
Head chef will be Michael Morton and the building housing the restaurant/bar will be a major renovation and addition to a small existing building on the site. Stay tuned as OnMilwaukee.com brings you the full story soon.

Just ate here last night with my mom so I thought I would drop a line. The service was great, the atmosphere was also great.. The crab dip appetizer deserves the raves.. We cleaned the entire dish! I had the Shark and Back.. It was a nice filling but not heavy dish.. The fish was cooked perfect, the garlic mayo dip mixed well with the mango salsa.. I was happy with it.. Mom had the Hamburger.. and it was also great... Quality hamburger with a little zip.. Overall, I just loved the place.. definitely one of my favorite places to eat now in Milwaukee..
