Spring is finally heating up, especially for the red-hot Brewers. But it's cold for others out there, like the last-place Bucks. What's trending this month? Nordstrom Rack, Hank the Dog, and, of course, construction. Everywhere.

We're here to poke fun at all of it.

Take Ryan Braun's thumb, for example. The nagging nerve issue kept him out of the lineup. People talked about surgery. And yet, he leads the first-place Crew in home runs. Or the Bucks. Forbes referred to the team as the weakest franchise in the NBA, yet it sold for a record $550 million, and there's no guarantee that the Bradley Center will be replaced.

What gives?

We don't know what to make of all of it, either. But that's not stopping us.

Here's a lighthearted look at what's hot and what's not in the Heat Index for April, 2014.

Sizzling:
Brewers – Best record in baseball!

Hot:
Bucks sale – Hopes are high with new owners.
Nordstrom Rack Shoppers are coming in droves.

Warm:
Summerfest – Really solid lineup.
Hank – Getting his own dog house at Miller Park.
Keith Tozer – Unemployed, but not for long.

Cool:
Hoan Construction – Manageable so far.
Ryan Braun's thumb – Not a problem, so far.
Construction season – AKA, all the time.
Milwaukee Wave – We'll see how this plays out.

Cold:
Upcoming mayoral race – Gonna get ugly.
Late spring – We were robbed.

Sub-zero:
American TV closing – Bungled.
Bucks season – Worst team in NBA.
