Don't even bother looking for a parking spot on Saturday morning. Foo Fighters at Harley bash -- Beats most of the acts Summerfest booked. Film in Wisconsin -- Depp is just the start of celebrity appearances around here. ![]() Warm: Marcus Theater in Park East -- Downtown movies! Sigg water bottles -- When in doubt, go green. ![]() Summer festival circuit -- Bring on the cover bands. American Idol winner -- Go David. Boris may not build the highest quality of buildings (though I do like Terrace Row) but he has taken numerous parking lots and turned them into condos and apartments. By doing this he has added new residents, added new tax base, and improved the urban frabic of Milwaukee. Like me or not but NLE is a net positive for Milwaukee.

Ice Cold -- Freshman Alderpersons: Ald. Cogg for opposing the nuisance car ordinance and thus a higher quality of life for her 6th district residents; and Ald. Kovac for interfering with the improvement of Downer Ave and its new BID with his behind the scenes maneuvering to keep Boris Gokhman off the BID board. Personal (and familial) animosities and bending to NIMBYism is no way to start a first term.
