Hunger Task Force, Milwaukee's free food bank, announced a new partnership with SWARMM Events, the local event planning company behind popular city occasions like the Shamrock Shuffle, Milwaukee Oktoberfest, Milwaukee Taco Fest and 12 Bars of Christmas.

The new partnership includes a commitment from SWARMM Events to donate a minimum of $25,000 to Hunger Task Force over the next year.

"People living in Milwaukee can always be counted on to help a neighbor in need," said Sherrie Tussler, executive director of Hunger Task Force, in a press release. "And when the work is done, we like to have a good time. Hunger Task Force appreciates a community leader like SWARMM who can combine work and play while we help families who need it."

The partnership will be in action with the upcoming Milwaukee Oktoberfest, scheduled to run Friday, Oct. 10-Sunday, Oct. 12 at Cathedral Square Park. The event – which features live music, wiener dog racing, food and beer – is free, but fest goers can also purchase VIP tickets for $20, with proceeds benefiting Hunger Task Force.
