News has reached us that our friend and colleague Steve Kabelowsky passed away on Tuesday at the age of 41.

The Fox Valley Force football team posted this note on Facebook last night:

"It is with a heavy heart the Fox Valley Force announce the passing of our former Director of Communications Steve Kabelowsky. Steve passed yesterday on his 41st birthday.
Steve was with the Force for the '13-'14 season and made an indelible mark on the Force in his short time. He was an amazing writer, served as our announcer, and he did an amazing job promoting the Force with the local media. Most of all he was an amazing person that wanted to give back to the community! Our prayers go out to Steve's family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but will be remember fondly in the hearts of everyone he touched."

Steve came to us a few years back to write a media column and he was a dedicated team player from the beginning, always eager to do more. He was more than connected in the local and Fox Valley media worlds, he was beloved and respected.

We will miss him as a colleague and as a friend, and we send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

A memorial fund has been set up at Verve, A Credit Union. Contributions may be mailed to the Steve Kabelowsky Memorial Fund c/o Verve, A Credit Union, P.O. Box 3046, Oshkosh, WI 54903.
