As part of its 45-acre development project, Bayshore Town Center has added L.A. Fitness, a physical fitness and health club with more than 150 locations nationally, to its lineup. This is Wisconsin's first location.

"We like to be in areas that attract a lot of attention and we think Bayshore will be one of those areas," said Bill Horner, senior vice president of real estate for L.A. Fitness.

L.A. Fitness will likely occupy about 45,000 sq. ft. and feature a pool, basketball and racquetball courts, 100 pieces of cardiovascular workout equipment, along with 50 different exercise classes per week and a Kids Club. Special events in addition to racquetball and basketball leagues will also be available.

In March, Bayshore announced that it had dibs on Wisconsin's first California Pizza Kitchen. Other new development features include pedestrian-friendly walkways, a small park and community-gathering place. A variety of retailers, restaurants, entertainment venues, business offices and residential spaces are also in the works for the Town Center.
