Three things we've learned about Milwaukee in the past week or so:
1. We don't have a lot of celebrity news in this town. People really do care about that stuff, which explains the tabloids at the checkout counter.
2. OnMilwaukee.com readers are faithful, loyal, inquisitive and willing to lend a hand.
3. If Channel 12 morning news anchor Caroline Lyders and former "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks want to keep their "friendship" a secret, they're not doing a particularly good job.
All of this is our way of informing you, the reader, that numerous sources have contacted OMC to report Lyders-Hicks sightings:
"They're eating lunch at Rock Bottom Brewery."
"They're walking down Kilbourn Avenue."
"They're shopping at the Milwaukee Public Market."
"Taylor is going to visit the Channel 12 newsroom."
We appreciate the tips. Honestly. If you have any, e-mail us through our feedback form.
For now, though, we'll let Caroline and Taylor enjoy each other's company and the greatness that is Milwaukee in the summer.

John W - Don't you know? Taylor Hicks is actually capable of being in two different states at exactly the same time. He is responsible for crop circles (just his way of saying that every once in a while, corn just needs to lay the hell down). And Hicks alone IS allowed to talk about Fight Club. Caroline Lyders seems to be a gem. Good for them!

Sure this info is right? Sounds like Hicks was in two different states at the same time.

Rock Bottom? Really? Of all the great and locally-owned restaurants we have in this city they choose a national chain like Rock Bottom? Come on Caroline, show him what makes our city great!!!
