Mobil Travel Guide, developer of the Mobil star rating program for lodgings, spas and restaurants, today announced the 2006 recipients of its Mobil Four and Five-Star Awards in the lodging and restaurant categories. No Milwaukee hotels or restaurants appear on the list. Chicago's Charlie Trotter's restaurant did make 5-Star caliber this year, however, as did the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, The Peninsula Chicago and The Ritz-Carlton in the Windy City.
The only Wisconsin venues on the list were listed as Mobil Four-Star Lodgings: The American Club, Kohler and Canoe Bay, and Rice Lake. Milwaukee does have several three star "winners" on the list.
