The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) announced today the hiring of Wisconsin native Heidi Wirth as the new Director of Development and Membership.

Wirth, who was born in Cedarburg, is moving from Brooklyn, N.Y., where she and her family have lived for six years. She is married to artist and critic Shane McAdams and the couple has a daughter, whom they wanted to be familiar with her six-generation family history and traditions in Wisconsin.

Wirth holds a Master's Degree in Arts Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Before joining MOWA, she worked at the New-York Historical Society as Director of Museum of Administration and Director of Institutional Giving.

"We are thrilled to have Heidi Wirth join our team," says MOWA Executive Director and CEO Laurie Winters.

"She brings an abundance of fundraising experience at a pivotal time in the Museum’s life. Her personal connections to the area and her art background make her even more of an asset to the museum and the West Bend area community."
