Olive tapenade at Nessun Dorma -- It's not that complicated of a dish -- a bunch of mashed up olives, oil and garlic -- but Nessun Dorma knows how to make it a desirable menu item. For $5.75, you get a huge plate with eight decently sized toast triangles perfectly coated with both black and green olive tapenade -- four slices of each kind. Arranged beautifully and garnished with a spring mix and several large pepperoncinis, the appetizer is both aesthetically and palate pleasing. -- Julie Lawrence
"The History Boys" -- Now out on DVD, the "Boys" are a must for any DVD collection. It's an amazing movie based on an amazing play. I got a chance to see the final run of the play in London a month ago, and the movie is just as good. -- Heather Leszczewicz
"Don't Look Back" on DVD -- A defining documentary of Bob Dylan's 1965 tour of Britain, this film by D.A. Pennebaker provides a grainy, edgy look at a talented young man (23 at the time of filming) who shifts from pensive to charming to pissed off in the course of a single conversation. Watching him shred clueless reporters is a treat. The extras include unreleased outtakes and commentary from Pennebaker and tour manager Bob Neuwirth, but the reproduction of the movie could easily stand on its own. -- Drew Olson
Goldeneye Winery Pinot Noir 2004 -- The folks at Wine Spectator know their stuff. They gave this cool-climate Pinot from the Anderson Valley a top rating and it's easy to see why. The aroma is complex and hints of cherry and flowers while the flavor has traces of plum, blackberry and strawberry. The wine guys say that this wine will peak in 2010 or so. But, there is no time like the present. -- D.O.
"Monique's Charm School" -- Just premiered on VH1 Sunday and it's hilarious. You get to hear all these whiny girls who made fools of themselves on "The Flavor of Love" do it all again. Although they're supposed to be learning some etiquette, it apparently hasn't taken yet and hilarity ensues. -- H.L.
The Vox Pathfinder -- The best practice amp we've ever owned packs 15 watts and the trademark Vox sound into a portable package that has the classic basket-weave vinyl and diamond grill. Volume. Gain. Treble. Bass. Tremolo speed. Tremolo depth. And, the ever-popular Gain Boost switch. The headphone jack allows for jamming when the family is watching TV. -- D.O.
Whopper, Jr. -- We know there are trendier, healthier choices. But, eating an occasional Whopper, Jr., now featured on Burger King's value menu, can be an enjoyable indulgence. You can get it without mayo and push it below 300 calories, but who wants to do that? Part of the strength of the flame-broiled sandwich rests with the mixture of tomato, lettuce, mayo, onions and crunchy pickles meld together. -- D.O.
Popwatch blog from Entertainment Weekly -- If you can't make it home in time for "Extra" or "Entertainment Tonight," check out this arm of ew.com. You'll be up to date on the latest pop culture developments in just a few moments. -- J.L.
Dial foaming hand soap -- Once you try this, you won't go back to liquid soap. The dollop of foam dispensed feels better, spreads better and rinses off easier to make your hands feel cleaner. A single pump bottle should last for close to 200 handwashings. -- D.O.

The 15watts isn't really an issue as an AC15 has that same great Vox sound as an AC30. And the Beatles upgraded to those Super Beatles which were 125 watts after the early days. But the previous talkback is correct that tubes are key. I have a Vox Cambridge that is nice but it's solid state and it's not nearly as warm as an AC 15 or 30.

Re Vox Pathfinder gtr amp What a player likes for sound is entirely subjective and plenty of the tone he gets comes from his fingers. But Im not sure how you can get the trademark Vox sound in a 15 watt/8 speaker mass produced solid state amp. The amps used by the Beatles, Tom Petty and many jangle merchants were tube amps, typically Super Beatles or AC30s with top boost and 2x12 speakers. I was in the market for a small amp for practice/recording a while ago and tried the Vox Brian May and thought it lacked any character. I ended up with an Epiphone Valve Junior. It is only 5 watts but the tone comes on like Hubert Sumlin. FYI Vox seems to be under the same corporate umbrella with Korg and Marshall. While it might resemble a vintage amp, to compare the Pathfinder to a real Vox is a stretch.
