Park East becoming Comfort Suites


The Park East Hotel, 916 E. State St., has begun its transformation into a Comfort Suites property. Comfort Suites is a part of family of Choice Hotels International. The 159-room hotel featuring Lake Michigan views from its upper floors will also make changes to its Aqua lounge and restaurant.

kelly said: Maybe they'll update the interior to reflect something more recent than the early 90's. I was there for a wedding this past December and seriously thought I had entered a time warp (complete with people smoking in the hall just outside the reception room - blech).
