Karaoke contest starts tonight at Potawatomi
The road to karaoke glory begins tonight at Potawatomi Bingo Casino, 1721 W. Canal St., at 7 p.m.
Participants are invited to the Fire Pit Side Bar, located on the first floor of the casino, at 7 p.m. for the first of three weekly preliminary site rounds. Andy Tarnoff, Bobby Tanzilo and Molly Snyder of OnMilwaukee.com will be among the judges for the three-week run.
Two more preliminary rounds will take place on March 12 and 19; after that, three males and three females will move on to the site finals March 26 at the casino, for a chance to compete at the state competition in West Bend in July.
Contestants must be 21 years old older to compete. They will be judged on several elements including vocal quality, rhythm, expression, stage presence and entertainment value.
Pre-registration can be completed at kwcusa.net.
