Jerome Walsh and Gregory Helding plan to open Stir, a cocktail and dessert lounge, at 112 W. Wisconsin Ave. The tentative opening date is Dec. 1.
Walsh has 10 years of bar and restaurant experience. He worked at the now-closed Kazoos, Mader's, 1041 N. Old World Third St, The Knick, 1030 E. Juneau Ave., and most recently as the manager of Yaffa restaurant, 106 W. Wells St. He also managed the Bank in Racine.
Walsh says Stir will have a lounge feel with low lighting and comfortable furniture. It will feature a full list of martinis, designer cocktails and wine. Stir will also have a full dessert menu that changes daily.
Next spring, Stir will unveil a two-tiered patio on the riverwalk, complete with a V.I.P. section.
"We have many events planned that we'll announce when we get closer to the opening date," says Walsh.

Smarty pants said: Re: Foodlover: Indeed the IP addresses are the same and this is probably someone who didn't realize what the numbers were and posted multiple times, using a different screen name BUT it also could be differenet people posting from the same company. Depending on if the person is behind a firewall, the only IP address you would see is the external one from the default gateway. I'm at work now and I know for a fact that other people from my company are posting on here, as I can tell by the ending prefixes.

JJ said: It's that space next to Uhle's and right across from Border's. Yes, John Hawk's is across the River from it. Should be a great addition to the Riverwalk. It needs something like this. Can't wait.
