With the big, bright yellow, orange and blue TLC trucks spotted in Downtown and Bay View the last couple of days, many Milwaukeeans were curious as to what exactly The Learning Channel was doing in Brew City.
According to TLC's publicist Brian Eley, the hit makeover show "While You Were Out" answered the call of Milwaukee's Julie Woodall of EDI Marketing, Inc. in Bay View.
Eley says that Woodall, who has worked at EDI for 12 years, wanted to surprise her boss and friend with a brand new office design.
"The current office was basically a hodgepodge of antiques, artifacts and several paintings done by her boss's brother," says Eley. When Woodall called TLC for help, she was looking to recreate the space with a more professional and modern look.
"While You Were Out" designer Chayse Dacoda and carpenters Leslie Segrete and Jason Cameron have been in town since Wednesday secretly planning the aesthetic changes to the Bay View office.
This is the first time that TLC has filmed the show in Milwaukee. Stay tuned to OMC to find out when the show will air.
