Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2011. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

For the fifth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2011."

You might think it's just an American favorite but at The Dogg Haus, you can take a culinary trip around the world all on the hot dog bun. And once again, you, the OnMilwaukee.com readership, selected The Dogg Haus as your favorite purveyor of dogs and sausage.

At the same time, we, the editorial staff at OnMilwaukee.com seconded your opinion and made it our pick, too.

Not only is there a choice of toppings at the The Dogg Haus, but they plate up a selection of dogs, as well. There's the classic Vienna Beef, spicy Atomic Dog or a ¼-lb. Doggfather. Yes, they offer Italian and Polish sausages but there's something tried and true about the traditional hot dog that just can't be beat.
