The votes are in, and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2008. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.
October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, special features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food. Bon appetit!
When it opened in the late 1990s, Crawdaddy's, 6414 W. Greenfield Ave., almost seemed a bit too "nice" for its neighborhood.
In the last several years, redevelopment has added a number of condos and shops and Crawdaddy's remains a popular stop in the area. It's so popular, in fact, that OnMilwaukee.com readers consider it their favorite place to get seafood.
The dining room at Crawdaddy's is large, bright and noisy enough to bring large dining parties and create the kind of rollicking atmosphere befitting a Cajun-influenced establishment.
Entrees include dishes like seafood etouffee, blackened salmon, skatewing and scallops, frog legs provencale and crispy catfish panee.
Spicy food, cold drinks and excellent service make this a West Allis establishment a fun place to visit. One in five OnMilwaukee.com readers selected Crawdaddy's as Milwaukee's best seafood.

Great pick, but Crawdaddy's doesn't need this publicity! It's crowded enough.

I agree with Ted, I had the worst seafood in my life there... honestly! Riptide is only good for drinks, not for the food.

It's embarassing that Riptide made this list
