Milwaukee's best wings, 2010: Buffalo Wild Wings

The votes are in, and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2010. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

Milwaukeeans may be known for eating bratwurst, but we're pretty fond of chicken wings in these parts, too.

Think about it ...

In terms of TV ratings, interest and merchandise sales, the Milwaukee-Madison-Green Bay triangle constitutes one of the hotter football markets in the country. Football fans like to eat while they watch games.

What food goes better with football than chicken wings?

When it comes to wings, OnMilwaukee.com readers like variety.

With 14 different sauces and eight local locations (Water Street, Mayfair, West Allis, Oak Creek, New Berlin, Waukesha, Pewaukee and West Bend), Buffalo Wild Wings topped Points East Pub by 43 votes.

The top five results read almost exactly like last year's. The only difference is that Leff's and Club Garibaldi, the OnMilwaukee.com pick, traded places in the standings.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com as the editors duke it out in a blind taste test for an upcoming edition of "Take the Milwaukee Challenge: Wings."

This list is incomplete - go to Magoo's Sports Pub on 89th & National in West Allis for delicious, meaty wings. The flavors are awesome (about 10 to choose from), the service is great, and it's a great joint to watch a game. $0.40 wings on Wednesday nights, with an awesome happy hour before 6pm. The wings are reasonably priced the rest of the week, and they always have coupons online. Best wings in Milwaukee area, hands down.

Points East Pub is my out and out favorite but as other people have stated, voters went for what they know, not exactly what is the best. west allis and ignorant milwaukeeans is the only reason why La Fuente or Botanas win in the mexican category year after year. It's certainly not the quality of their food or drink.

Wow...I don't see what's wrong with Bdubs at all, like one person said, it's easy, and people go there if they're feeling lazy. Obviously a lot of people like it, that's why it was voted number one. I'm a fan of Leff's, Hart's, or the obvious Points East, but if I don't feel like fighting off the Thursday crowd, I head to Bdubs because I know I can sit down, get a drink right away, and be satisfied with the crazy amount of sauces they have. Just because you few OMC regulars don't like it, doesn't mean you have to blast the majority who do. Where's Begel to write about his favorite wings when you need him? I bet he likes KFC.

Just wait until the Quaker Steak & Lube opens up in New Berlin. They'll take the crown away

That was a quick return by rabid. I figured we wouldn't hear anything from him until the next Jazz in the Park article.
