OnMilwaukee.com readers again chose Buffalo Wild Wings as their favorites in town.

Best wings, 2011: Buffalo Wild Wings

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2011. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

For the fifth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2011."

Milwaukeeans may be known for eating brats and cheese, but we're pretty fond of chicken wings in these parts, too.

Think about it ...

In terms of TV ratings, interest and merchandise sales, the Milwaukee-Madison-Green Bay triangle constitutes one of the hotter football markets in the country. Football fans like to eat while they watch games.

What food goes better with football than chicken wings?

When it comes to wings, OnMilwaukee.com readers like variety.

With 16 different sauces and eight local locations, Buffalo Wild Wings topped Points East Pub again in our annual poll.

The staff here at OnMilwaukee.com really digs the wings at Points East Pub and Garibaldi, but gives the edge to the latter.

OnMilwaukee.com editors' choice: Club Garibaldi

Runners-up:
2. Points East Pub
3. Club Garibaldi
4. Elsa's
5. Leff's Lucky Town
6. Major Goolsby's
7. Hooligan's
8. The Wicked Hop
9. Beer Belly's
10. Pizza Shuttle
11. McGillycuddy's
12. Karma
13. Bougey's Bar & Grill
14. Libby Montana

I'm not trying to spam my blog, but it's relevant here. For nearly 3 years my friends and I have gone around Milwaukee eating, rating, and writing about wings! www.milwaukeewings.com I haven't rated BW3 as I've tried to shy away from reviewing anything non-local (a few may have snuck in their) but they're not the best, but also not the worst.

For 4 years in a row now BW3s wins best wings in Milwaukee!? Someone please tell me this is a Joke?? I would be very curious to know who actually votes for this type of thing, and which wings they have actually tried. When you compare BW3s to Pizza Hut and KFC, then OK you have a winner. But seriously if you are going to vote for "best" wings then please take the time to try out a few new places. There are a few notiables on the list. Points East, Garibaldi are both good but have also fallen off over the past couple years. Elsa's, Goolsby's, Wicked Hop are all good. Magoo's and Johny Mo's are both outstanding, it's too bad neither made the list. Stubby's also has some good wings, but they are hit or miss.

Best tacos - Taco Bell. Best burgers - McDonalds I think "chains" should be eliminated from the competition, unless they are native to Wisconsin.

Points East Pub, WAY ahead of BW3s. People should also check out Off The Clock, on howell. Good size wings, all sauces are made in-house, great price... top notch really.
