Local entrepreneurs Andy Larson of Float Milwaukee and Nell Benton, chef-owner of The National, will open a new restaurant, Bowls, at 207 W. Freshwater Way – behind Purple Door Ice Cream – in Walker's Point.

"I met Andy after a float session," says Benton. "We hit it off immediately and spoke about our respective businesses. He contacted me a month later, telling me about some amazing bowl dishes he had experienced out west. I was intrigued and started researching the concept in depth."

Bowls will feature a menu of quick and healthy, cold and hot dishes served, aptly, in bowls. Serving breakfast, lunch and early dinner options, the menu will include items like acai bowls, tuna poke, Mediterranean farro and a miso quinoa bowl, with ingredients primarily sourced locally and organically grown whenever possible.

"We are excited to offer quick meal options which are clean, nourishing, delicious and globally inspired," says Benton.

The restaurant will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will offer both dine-in and take-away bowls. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for an opening date.
