Broadway Bakery finds a new home
According to an employee, Broadway Bakery and Cafe will move in "two or three weeks" to a new location, 5901 W. Vliet St. This space was the former home of Suzy's Cream Cheesecakes.
Everything else about the business will remain the same, including the bakery items, staff, hours and catering options.
For six years, Broadway Bakery and Cafe was located in the Third Ward at 241 N. Broadway. OnMilwaukee.com's Jeff Sherman reported in October 2010 that the bakery had closed.
Congratulations, Broadway Bakery! You were a jewel on Broadway and you'll be even more of one on Vliet. The wonderful west welcomes you. And Janemarek, Washington Heights is a lovely, diverse, friendly neighborhood...feel free to hop the tram out of Disney to find out!
Awesome! I hope they have their cinnamon roll french toast on the menu!!
This is not a bad neighborhood. The Mayor only lives a couple of blocks away and there is a police station just east as well. This will be a nice addition to the area.
Yikes janemarek, I'm hopeful you will someday actually come over to the Washington Heights and see our beautiful neighborhood. We are thrilled to have such a great bakery taking over that location. Like the previous posts stated, great location with lots of wonderful shops and restaurants!!
This is great news for a great area of the City! Scary? I think that poster may want to visit Washington Heights to see the great retail and eatery options that are alive and thriving. 59th & Vliet is one block away from Wauwatosa. It's a great neighborhood with a lot of small business success! I can't wait for this location to open.
