An Asian-themed bar and restaurant called Buddha Lounge will open around Jan. 1, 2015 at 1504 E. North Ave.

Yosef Goldstein, owner of Dr. Molar Dental Spa and Midwest Investment Association, is opening Buddha Lounge.

It will offer Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine along with a full bar. The space is currently being remodeled.

Even though the space is next door to University of Wisconsin Milwaukee dormitories (Cambridge Commons), it has turned over many times. It was formerly Glass Nickel Pizza, La Piazza, Clutch and Node Cafe. Maybe Asian is the right fit.
