Bunkers, 7420 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis, is no more.
The retro restaurant hosted its last night Tuesday, according to its Facebook page. The website has also been taken down.
There is no official word yet on why the bar and eatery's owner, Scott Bunker, decided to close its doors. Stay tuned.
Was hoping to visit Bunkers when we were back for the holiday. Same that they are closed. As for Groupon, pay full price for meals and your favorite place has a better chance of staying open.
Food quality had gone downhill recently. Restaurant itself is too small and tables too crowded together.
Empty Nester:; Contact Groupon! In their "uniersal fine print" found here: http://www.groupon.com/pages/universal-fine-print they state that they will issue refunds upon request. I'm sure if a place closes, you'd be justified in asking Groupon for your money back!
We ate there a number of times & always enjoyed it. Unfortunately we're stuck with a Groupon to use there now - might have to rethink buying those things.
I was stunned to read about the closing! We were fortuante enough to eat there twice - and I say fortunate because both nights the place was packed and we waited over 45 minutes for a table. The food was awesome, service was great. The closing couldn't possibly be due to lack of customer flow! What a shame - this was a gem of a place!
