Even though Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, owner of Mitchell's Fish Market and Cameron's Steakhouse, sold its Fish Market chain and steakhouses to Ruth's Chris last week, their Bayshore Towne Center location will remain open, as is, for the time being.
"The sale will actually not affect the Bayshore location. They were not part of the deal and will be staying on as part of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants," said the Cameron Mitchell marketing department via an e-mail.
Carolyn Delp, Cameron Mitchell's vice president of marketing, told the Columbus Dispatch's Web site, dispatch.com, that Cameron Mitchell (in Wisconsin at Bayshore) "will continue to be owned and operated by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. It is underperforming and the company is exploring alternatives for it, which could include another concept."
In total, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants agreed to sell two-thirds of its locations to Ruth's Chris Steak House Inc. for $94 million.
