Lakefront Brewery and Yaffa joined forces for "Dinner on the River," a four-course meal featuring six Lakefront beers. The event takes place at Yaffa, 106 W. Wells St., on Wednesday, July 16 at 6 p.m.
"This is one of the coolest and most innovative menus for a beer dinner that I've ever seen," says Lakefront's Orlando Segura.
Chicago's Guitarra Azul will provide Flamenco music.
Tickets are $55 per person, which includes a Lakefront Brewery tasting mug that guests can take home.
Here is the menu for "Dinner on the River:"
Course 1 -- Tapas
Yaffa oyster served a minuet. Paired with Lakefront Eastside Dark.
Strauss lambchop glazed with Lakefront Cherry Lager with aleppo chiles and toasted walnuts. Paired with Lakefront Cream City Pale Ale.
Bacon-wrapped date stuffed with Spanish blue cheese. Paired with Lakefront Riverwest Stein.
Course 2 -- Salad
Watermelon salad with feta topped with Spanish sherry vinagrette dressing. Paired with Lakefront White Beer.
Course 3 -- Main
Fine herb crusted halibut with truffle mashed potatoes, blend of Tunisian vegetables and a Lakefront White beurre blanc sauce. Paired with Lakefront Klisch Pilsner.
Course 4 -- Dessert
Turkish cardamon cheesecake sprinkled with crushed baklava and drizzled with a syrup made from Lakefront Fuel Cafe Stout. Paired with Lakefront Fuel Cafe Stout.
