Lo-Cash Live to close, then reopen
After Friday night, Lo-Cash Live, 124 W. National Ave., will close. But fear not barbecue lovers, because owner Jay Carter says he will team up with Darnell Ashley from Ashley's Bar-B-Que, 1501 W. Center St.
The new place, according to Carter, will open in about a month under the name Ashley Q.

I don't know anything about Lo-Cash Live, but I do know Ashley's BBQ and I must say, I am super pumped for more of Milwaukee to taste the BEST BBQ around! Darnell knows is way around a kitchen and a grill! Ashley Q. will have my support from day one!

I'm surprised this place survived this long! The 1st and only time I visited was about six weeks after they opened. The place was not very busy, so I took at seat at the bar. It took the inexperienced bartender at least 6 minutes before he came over to inquire what I might like. I should have left at this point, but decided to try there food since it received numerous good reviews. Since they specialize in BBQ I ordered that. Well needless to say the meal was served cold and BBQ was extremely tough .. not warm and tender like is supposed to be served. I complained to my server, but it just went in one ear and out the other. On the check I left a note for the owner.

Lo-cash was a joke! for someone in the biz 25 years, I'd expect ALOT more. Food and service were bad, venue itself is fantastic though, Glad to see the Ashley boys are finally putting some real BBQ in the area.
