The west side has been hopping with openings of late, most notably the triad of Bartolotta's-managed restaurants – including ABV Social, Cafe Grace and Taqueria El Jefe – at the Mayfair Collection.

However, it seems that the ebb and flow of openings begetting closings has also begun in the area.

McCormick & Schmick's has permanently closed its Mayfair Mall outlot location at 2550 N. Mayfair Rd. The location, which opened in 2008, specialized in steaks and seafood.

According to a restaurant representative, the location closed on Tuesday, July 26.  Landry Inc.'s additional restaurant location, Mitchell's Fish Market at 275 N. Moorland Rd., in Brookfield Square, will remain open.
